One of the problems I run into with visualizing networks is that the thickness of an edge when drawn is maintained regardless of its length. I wonder if it's possible to make edge thickness dependent on length so that topological distance can have some effect on edge drawing (obviously there are times when this would not be a good idea, so what I'm proposing isn't a change but just an option). Like so:

Hi Elijah,
That could be implemented in the new Preview but with care of how people read it. I like the way it illustrate the "elastic" effect of a spring anyway!
