Next thing to try is to update graphic card drivers. Also make sure to use Oracle JRE/JDK

Thanks for your reply. I tried to reinstall Gephi, but exactly the same problem appears again. The graph window in the Overview tab is constantly saying "initializing". Any other idea about how to fix the problem?

Hi,

I'm experiencing the same problem as you have mentioned above. The only difference I guess is that I'm using Gephi 0.9.1. The link that is posted above doesn't work. Does anybody have a clue about how to solve this problem?

I have the same problem. Overview is blank and grey but Preview works. Overview used to work until last week and then stopped working during a session when I loaded a new graph and hasn't returned.

I have the same problem:

Mac OS 10.7.4
Gephi 0.8.1 beta 201202141941

Preview works, but the graph tab in Overview is blank and gray. This makes it difficult to rank, scale and format the graph. on the same machine, in parallels on Window XP, it works fine.

I can't view any graphs in the graph window, it just stays blank. I used Gephi successfully before, but since I got a new computer - no luck...

I am using the same operating system and version of gephi (0.8) as before - but the graphics card has changed from Intel to ATI. I am using the latest proprietary fglrx driver (Catalyst 11.6). I am also using sun java (not openjdk).

OS: openSUSE 11.4 (64 bit)
OpenGL version: 4.1.10834 Compatibility Profile Context
Vendor: ATI Technologies Inc
Renderer: AMD Radeon HD 6500M/5600/5700 Series

Is there anything I can do to start using gephi again? Or does it simply not work under these conditions?
