Hi,
I have the IBM Java 6.0 SDK installed on my machine, however Gephi show's me this error after starting up - "Cannot find Java 1.6 or higher". If I run "java -version" in a cmd prompt, I get the following:
">java -version
java version "1.6.0"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build pwi3260sr10fp1ifix-20120
IBM J9 VM (build 2.4, JRE 1.6.0 IBM J9 2.4 Windows 7 x86-32 jvm
J9VM - 20120202_101568"
Is Gephi dependent on the Oracle Java version? Or perhaps I'm missing an environment variable.
Thanks,
Brian.

Re: Gephi not finding Java.
Hi Brian,
You could try to point to your Java in gephi.conf file by changing and uncommenting the jdkhome variable.
But, I advice you to always run Gephi with an Oracle Java implementation, otherwise it is very likely that especially JOGL(for Overview in Gephi) and Processing (for Preview) won't work fine anyway.

Re: Gephi not finding Java.
Thanks Eduardo,
I'll try that out.

Re: Gephi not finding Java.
I am having the same problem and do not understand your suggestion Eduardo. Also, Brian, did you solve this issue? How?
Thank you,
Daniel
