Suggestion: "transparent colors" in partition menu

It seems like it might be valuable to have an option under the partition menu to allow for "transparent" colors. That is, allow Gephi to perform a coloring pass over a graph without having to color all nodes (or edges) but nonetheless recoloring some of the nodes (or edges).

For example, suppose I have a partition parameter for nodes (or edges) that has 30 different values. It would be helpful to be able to easily instruct Gephi to recolor only a handful of those nodes or edges--while leaving the rest of the nodes or edges with their previous color unchanged.

Right now, the user can, in the partition window, right-click on the mouse and tell Gephi to set all the nodes (or all the edges) to black. And, the user can then select a individual nodes (or edges) to be painted this color or that.

Unfortunately, the "all black" option can eradicate the color-coded information that already exists on a graph. If the user could specific an "all transparent" partition option, the user could effectively say "leave the graph colored as it is except for the exceptions that the user keys in manually."
