Can't uninstall a plugin I created

What would prevent me from uninstalling a plugin? I created a filter plugin based on EgoBuilder.java. In the "Plugins" window under the "Installed" tab, the plugin I installed cannot be selected. Why does gephi think it's a 'core' plugin?

I am not sure but I think that's indicated in the manifest or something similar.

Thank you. That was it. I needed "AutoUpdate-Essential-Module: false" in manifest.mf.
