1,23 million nodes + 1,8 million edges too much?

Hi, I want to analyse some data set with 1,23 million nodes and 1,8 million edges.
Actual version 0.9.2. with 12GB RAM set in the config file, 6 cores/12 threads, fast SSD, dedicated GTX960 (if gpu matters, not sure).

Edges are disabled to save some ressources.

Gephi is extremly slow, zoom does not work, Force Atlas 2 layout algorithm does not work (the whole screen is full of nodes but I don't see separated communities/hubs and sometimes I get "can't apply ForceAtlas2 exception), modularity check crashes gephi / unresponsible.

Is that just too much data?
