Help creating .gexf file

Hello everybody,

For my thesis document I would like to have a graph to visualize some data.
I come from the sound design field and I've analyzed around 1000 sound samples to specify some descriptors. A descriptor is a metaphorical way of explaining a sound, for example: a sound could be 'bright', 'dark', 'harmonic', 'inharmonic' etc...

For each descriptor I have a value ranging from 0.0 to 1.0 and I would like to group them in a visual way. Would Gephi be able to do this?
If so, how do I create a .gexf file with my data? Is there any thread or tutorial you think it would be helpful?
Sorry to bother, I'm new to this software.
