Typical Time for re-layouts?

Dear Experts,


I've made a graph with:

Nodes: 48690
Edges: 61716

All edges are directed, one direction only.


If you saw my earlier posts, you'll know that my Gephi install
on Redhat 6.4 has been giving me problems. So I exported
the graph into gexf and imported it into Windows 7.


I've been running a few layout routines, and they are taking a long time.
Even the Label Adjust, is taking dozens of minutes.

My 64 bit server has 8 CPUs in 2 cores, and 16 gigs of RAM.

I do notice on windows, that only one CPU at a time seems to be working hard.
On Linux, all of them will be working.

Is this typical?
