I saw several questions regarding this issue, but seems that their solution is not generic but tailored to their problem, as can be seen in this thread:

What I need is the ability to load several images for every resolution of the graph, and when I zoom to a specific area, the relevant images will appear as the new background. Google maps has the ability to do it, as you can see in this example: https://disneyland.disney.go.com/maps/
My question is anybody already working on such thing? Maybe I can use one of the already exisitng plugins for that matter?
