How does Gephi define modularity for directed networks?

How does Gephi define modularity for directed networks?

Gephi allows you to process weighted, directed networks fine to find communities, but the original Louvain method does not have an implementation for that (which is what the citation is for). Does Gephi ignore direction when running the modularity algorithm?
