This paper presents different kinds of legends based upon the type of data (nominal, ordinal, and so on), and compares them to standard widgets.Interactive information visualization systems rely on widgets to allow users to interact with the data and modify the representation.
I have the intuition that interactive legends could be very efficient on the task of map creation in the WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) editor integrated to Gephi (called Preview).
What's your opinion on this?
