Partial coloring of the background

Hi,

iam buliding graphs by predefinng the x,y axis area. In order to make the graphs visaully appealing i want to color the background of the graphs partially ( only the background in which the x,y axis falls. Also apart from this i walszo wnat to color the reactngular portion covered by the label with specific color.

So is it possible to partially color the background? Can someone please shed some light on this

Hi sayongitab.

That is not possible to do in Gephi. You need to export to PNG and set the background in Photoshop or other image editing program.

Label background color you can adjust in Gephi. See Preview > Node Labels > Box / Box color / Box opacity. If you want to do that in Java code check the PreviewProperty counterparts at http://gephi.org/docs/api/constant-values.html

hello pegerp,

once imported to png and post changing the background. iam unable to open the changed png file in the workspace of the gephi project. it say's file format not supported.

Any ideas arround this ?

Hi,
You can't import image files, so the post processing needs to be done on the final graph exported image.

Hi,

I have 4 workspaces in my gephi project.

I have kept the dark grey background in all 4 workspaces and the node label by default changes to white.

I want to change the nodes Label colors in each workspace. However whenever i change the node Label colors of one workspoce save it and move on to next space to change the label color and revist the previous space the node labels color changes to default white color.

Is the worspace not able to retain the node labels color. I did this exercise of changing the node labels color 100 of times however when i switch between worspaces the node labels color comes back to its original white color. Is there some issue with the tool ?????????????
