Java 8 support

Hello, I am trying to use Gephi 0.8.2-beta on my Mac OS X 10.9.3 and Java 8.

But when I start the application, after the loading screen, it just closes. Do you support Java 8? Can I some how fix this?

There is an issue with Mac Maverick and java 7 already. Gephi 0.9 will solve that but in the meantime please follow these instructions:
