Load Fail: Java.lang.Runtimeexception.java.lang.NullPointers

I get this error when trying to load a file. Newly installed .8.2 and when I try to open a .csv or the LesMis example I get this error window Java.lang.Runtimeexception.java.lang.NullPointersException and it just hangs.

Not sure I understand: do you have Java 7 installed or not?

PS: make also sure you do "Help -> Check for updates" in the Gephi menu, then a restart.

Yes, I have Jave 7 installed. Sorry for the confusion.

I think it is a problem with my graphics capabilities, specifically not having a separate graphics card. I only have the (seemingly standard) graphics capabilities in the Intel chipset. Does that make sense as a problem? I need a separate graphics card, right?
