gephi does not launch on windows 8

hello,
I downloaded and installed Gephi 0.8.2-beta on a Windows 8 PC. Double clicking on the application icon does not launch the program. No error messages. JRE 1.7.0_10 is installed. Any help will be appreciated,

Hi Ziya,

I have Gephi 0.8.2 beta working on a Windows 8 PC (64-bit) with the most recent Java 7 and I haven't noticed any problems.

Is your security software blocking the program from launching?

thank you for the reply.
I edited /etc/gephi.conf file, set the PATH for jdk. it works!

i have same problem. i found the path and conf but i dnot know what path write in the config file. path of java in my computer:
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0

when try to change the configuration settings in Gephi/etc, it say access denied

I have followed the instructions, but when I try to to save gephi file, I am told that access is denied. What is the way around this?
