I'm facing the same problem. The OS X of my computer is the 10.9.

I've tried to install the previous gephi version, 0.8.1, but the message i got was: gephi can’t be opened because it proceeds from a not identified developer.

Any clue?

Same problem here, I'm running Mac OS 10.6.9
Message says " unable to load libjogl_awt.jnilib "

Either or both of these steps may help:

A) Update Java via the Apple OS X Java update website http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5648
B) "delete the gephi settings folder under /Your_username/Library/Application support/gephi and run it again" http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1319 ... awt-jnilib

Gephi 0.8.2 beta didn't work on my macbook pro with OSX 10.9.2.

I've tried many things including modifying gephi.conf, but the surest way to get this done was
to uninstall Oracle Java 7 and download Apple Java (http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/39490/apple-java).

Then I moved Gephi to my application folder and it works like a magic now!

Gephi worked until a few days ago. I'm on OSX 10.9.3 running Gephi 0.8.2. I followed most of the suggestions here, still doesn't work.
- I uninstalled Oracle Java and installed Apple Java.
- I uninstalled and reinstalled Gephi 0.8.2.

Anyone?

This worked out perfectly for me:

Open System Preferences
Open Security & Privacy
Go to the General Tab
Change the "Allow applications downloaded from:" setting to "Anywhere"
Open the Gephi.dmg file and drag to the Applications folder

Hello,
you can still install version 0.8.1, the way to get around the "not identified developer" message by right clicking on the installation icon an open it from there.

In regards to get 0.8.2 running I have posted a solution here:

The solution also worked with Yosemite by te way!
