Hello all, 0.8.1 lists as fixed a bug that prevented Gephi to run under OSX Lion. Well, my new machine runs 10.7.4, and Gephi won't start. I tried my old one (10.5) and it works fine, but with computing power deficiencies. Does anybody have any ideas of how to do this?

By the way, looking into older topics of this forum I tried to install the missing library:

sudo ln -s /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/1.6.0_26-b03-383.jdk/Contents /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/CurrentJDK

But my machine returns "File exists". So there really is a compatibility issue. :-(

It turns out that – just as happened with OS Leopard – Apple does not pre-install Java in Lion. So I followed these instructions:

https://gephi.org/users/install-java-6- ... x-leopard/

And Gephi now starts.

My fault. But I guess it would be better to rename the page "Install Java 6 on MacOS Leopard and successors".
