WebGL Visualization in Context of a Master's Thesis

Hello everyone,

my employer has a strong need for a web-based graph visualization. Although there are specific requirements, the basic application would be a Gephi WebGL renderer. I am going to work on this in the context of a master's thesis in computer science. Instead of just working towards the specific application I would be happy if there is someone in the Gephi team who is willed to get involved into my planning process. Thus, not only my employer but also the Gephi community would benefit from my work.
I already read about VivaGraphJS and GraphGL. My approach will not focus on building/layouting but more on rendering and collaboration. Some name-dropping to get a rough idea:

• render without third-party plugins
• graph manipulation
• graph annotations
• export edited graph to a file
• display meta data from RESTful webservices (this is mostly the specific part)
• calculations like shortest path
