Hi all!

Is there a possibility to run a layouting algorithmn only on one axis and have the other defined?

For example:

Code: Select all

o<------------->o
     ,--o<-----´
o<--o
     `--o
o<--o

|----|----|----> Time
The x-axis is predefined, the time where an event occurred. A lay-outing algorithm can work on the y-axis to e.g. to minimize the the arrows length, minimizing criss-crossing, not overlapping nodes.

A timeline layout, what a great idea!
