[SOLVED] GEXF Parse Error

Post by nate1776 » 30 Apr 2012 01:53

Hello,

I am fairly new to Gephi and GEXF. I have a ParseError that has got me hung up:

java.lang.RuntimeException:javax.xml.stream.XMLStreamException: ParseError at [row, col]:[8840,3]
Message: The element type "node" must be terminated by the matching end-tag "</node>".

The problem is there is only 8675 rows, not 8840. Any idea what the problem may be?

8840 is the row line in the text file. Open it using a text editor like Notepad++ or gedit, and tell me what you have.

Im using TextWrangler and there is only 8675 rows in the text file. In other words, the file ends with </gexf> on row 8675. There is no row 8840?? I know it's probably something very simple...

Oh sorry, I've misread it.

Please can you send me the file at contact@gephi.org? I'll have a look at it.

I sent it to you.

I used an XML validator and it said the opening and closing tag don't match but I don't see what is not matching??
