Re: Recent updates on GEXF time support
I think this is preferable to use Double, since they have 64-bits floating point precision, while Float only have 32 bits. This would allow developers to directly use timestamps, without need to convert it to a particular calendar reference, or XML format, because timestamps are encoded in 64 bits t...

Re: Gephi on the web
I've been looking for the past weeks for WebGL stuff. As expected, we are starting to see a lot of libraries for doing 3D stuff, working on top of the WebGL API. Some are high-levels "3D engines", other are low-level. Some are dedicated to video games, or "load one 3DS model, view it, rotate. done."...

Re: Help analysing the dokuwiki.org wiki
Hi, Although this is not yet recognized by the GEXF specification, Gephi actually parse the date attribute using an XML standard-compliant library. This format is an international standard, the ISO 8601 : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8601 This is not officially supported by Gephi, however you ca...

Re: GEXF and timestamps
Hi,
I agree with this addition, which should be easy to implement for most GEXF clients (and faster to parse and check for semantic corectness than the date string, when dealing with hundred of thousands of entries).

Tips to use the Gephi Toolkit with other JVM languages
Hi, I am starting a topic for people who would like to discuss the use of the Gephi Toolkit from JVM language XYZ. The Gephi Toolkit let you call all the Gephi Core features from languages running inside the Java Virtual Machine (JVM). Such languages include Java of course, but also scripting, funct...

Re: Source Code Visualization Plug-in
Hi, just came across this : http://www.cond.org/icse2007-final.pdf it talks about "analysis of evolutionary code-clone behavior in software systems" (and also about a modification of Guess for visualization of these software systems, so this could lead to interesting ideas for the Gephi plugin as we...
