Hi,
Would it be possible to change a graph from directed to undirected *after* its importation in GEPHI (instead of doing it at the stage of the import).
That would be very useful when computing metrics which depend on the directed / undirected nature of the graph.
Best,
Clement

[TODO] Data laboratory: reversing the directions of edges?
Hi, I found it a frequent need to be able to quickly change the direction of my edges (that is, inverting the direction of all edges: if I have a graph made of a->b and b->c, it would become b->a and c->b. It basically consists in transposing the matrix of nodes. Will it be possible to achieve this ...

Re: underlying formula Gephi uses for the absolute betweenne
Hi, another question to the author of the betweenness centrality measure! I tried to measure Freedman betweenness centrality on GEPHI and UCINET, and the results do not match! Did the author make a similar comparison between his measure and the results on UCINET for the same graph, or has any other ...

[FIXED] Clarifying the methods to compute betweenness etc.
Hi, For scholarly purpose, it would be nice - to get easy access to the methods / reference papers underlying the computation of the various metrics that GEPHI makes available. - to make sure that the most common metrics do correspond to the standard of the literature. For instance, the computation ...

[FIXED] Name of opened file not updated after a "save as"
Hi, I am talking about the file name as it is displayed in the "menu bar" (is it called this way?) at the top left corner of the GEPHI windows. After saving my GEPHI project under a new name with "save as", it would be cool to see this change reflected in the menu bar. For now, the original file nam...

[FIXED] Workspace name does not increment
Hi,
I used the "export to new workspace"button after filtering a graph for a specific partition.
The new workspace just created is called "Workspace 1", just like "Workspace 1" I was already working in. Bug?
Best,
Clement

I see that we have the same concerns!

Re: Some truly n00b question(s)
nOOb answers: I don't know of any standard way to do it. Maybe that UCINET (a very common network analysis program) offers it? Network WorkBench does it automatically for bibliographic data (you feed a list of academic papers in the approriate bibliographic format, and it returns a network of co-aut...

Simpler GEXF format when exporting grouped partitions?
Hi, If I understood correctly: Nodes of a graph can be grouped according to partitions: If I have a network of 100 nodes, with a partition which creates two groups of 60 and 40 nodes, then it is possible to visualize a simple graph with two nodes: one for the group of 60 nodes, the other for the gro...

[SOLVED] Detecting and selecting isolated components
It is often useful to select isolated components all together to work with them: to delete them, color them in a certain way, or to count them, etc. Could it be possible to implement a feature which would automatically detect, count and select all the components not attached to the main component? (...
