I guess there is no problem using it with the GUI because properties are reset.
But maybe do a reset in the constructor just to avoid null intial values.

Re: Help with this simple csv file?
I agree it is a bit confusing.
What happens is that source and target (and type) are not real columns in the edges table so I did it case insensitive for these properties.
I will check about case insensitive columns names.

Re: node label color in preview
Hi,
I don't remember if it can be done with the old preview.
But Gephi 0.8beta (just released) has a new preview implementation that allows to choose label color as the original color.

Tutorial about creating Data Laboratory plugins
Hi everyone. I finally created a wiki tutorial about extending Data Laboratory features with its API/SPI http://wiki.gephi.org/index.php/HowTo_extend_data_laboratory_features That includes every feature you see in Data Laboratory. Re: Geolayout:exactly overlapping nodes impossible?
Hi,
I applied geolayout to a graph with several nodes with the same exact coordinates some time ago so I don't think that is the problem. Are the coordinates right?

Re: Attribute data not appearing in the data laboratory
Hi,
Do you have a lot of columns?
Columns may be hidden, try to click on the lightbulb icon in data laboratory to manage columns visibility.

Re: Importing CSV-Data causes errors
Hi,
Um, I don't know what could cause missing rows or wrong type in this case.
Can you share your files or part of them?
Maybe, make sure that there are no repeated edges (same source and target).
