Re: Cannot open my project:The project file couldn't be open
Hi,
Does it happen double clicking the file or with File - Open?
Was the .gephi file saved from a previous version of gephi? (it should work, but problems appear sometimes).

Re: Dynamic position of nodes
Hi,
If you are creating a plugin, I think you would have a loop that uses dynamic columns (x, y, z(optional?)) values at different time intervals and manually sets nodes positions.
Also, I think this could be a Layout plugin that uses the current time interval filtering.

Re: Need help starting out
I am not sure if this should be visualized as a network.
But if you do, you would normally represent relations between teams/people.
So you can:
Create a node for each player
Create a link between each player that shares one or more teams with other player.

Hi,
That declares 2 dynamic columns.
The way to create dynamic values in 1 column is explained here http://gexf.net/format/dynamics.html

Re: Gephi fails to open files and then just stops working
Hi,
The plugin may not be correctly installed.
Try to clean up your gephi preferences by deleting the following folder path:
%APPDATA%\.gephi
And then reinstall plugins.

Re: Parent Color Syntax
Hi Elijah, Look a this example http://wiki.gephi.org/index.php/Toolkit_-_Reuse_the_Preview_Applet You have to put a DependantColor instance, which can hold a custom color or parent color. http://gephi.org/docs/api/org/gephi/preview/api/PreviewProperty.html Here you can check what is expected for eac...

Re: How to get the subgraph of the subgraph?
Hi, For analyzing subgraphs, a good strategy is to create a workspace with that subgraph and run statistics, layout... on it. The steps are: 1. Run modularity on your graph 2. Create a Partition filter and select the partition(s) you want to filter. 3. Once applied the filter, click on Export filter...

Yes, you can click on the colors of each partition and choose one.
Right click will let you enter a color code.

Re: Initial layout
Hi, The best would be to have all the labels in 4 columns in the same graph file, so you can visualize the column you want at any time. Since you have 4 separated files, you can try the following if your nodes have the same ids in every graph: Export each file to csv with data laboratory. Import aga...
