Re: Workflow tips for rapidy adding attributes to a large gr
Exporting your graph to gexf will save XY, shape and size information, so your layout will be preserved. If you can then parse the XML and annotate it, then you'll keep your layout.

Re: Does Eigenvector Centrality account for Weighted Edges?
I think we're all still at the point where we pull out of Gephi to run the graph through Network Workbench or our scripting language of choice. In some cases, I think it's just inevitable, as Gephi will never have the level of statistical depth of more dedicated methods. Still, I'd like to see a wei...

Re: Does Eigenvector Centrality account for Weighted Edges?
It doesn't--I think Page Rank is the only centrality measure that takes into account weighted edges now. It seems that a statistic is only Edge Weight-aware when you see the option to take edge weight into account.

Re: Node Scaling
You can reduce the range within minimum and maximum values, in which case the transformation will only be applied within that range (the nodes or edges falling outside that range will maintain whatever styling you've provided them) but as soon as your min and max values constrain your set range, you...

Re: Node Scaling
Yes, Chris, linear is the default and yes, it's setting the new max value mapped to your static max size based on the visible graph. I thought you wanted a fixed size to a fixed value, for instance, all nodes with degree value 3 have size 3, which isn't possible without some Gephi gymnastics given t...

Re: Node Scaling
Hi Chris, If I understand you correctly, you want to have fixed values in node size mapped directly to fixed values in the attributes. As I understand the current setup, that's not possible. Everything is relative to the range you have set. If you'd like and you have a small enough set of attributes...

Re: Filtering Edge Weights and Showing Only filtered graph
You want to nest your Edge Weight filter inside a Degree Range filter from Topology. So, double-click the Degree Range filter. When it's in the filter area, expand it, you'll see a section labeled "Drag subfilter here". Drag your Edge Weight filter there. Modify the values in your edge weight filter...

Re: Animation Framework
Glad you like them, I'll clean up and comment the code and put the various classes up on Github so everyone else can do it. By tweens I just mean generic methods that take a node that has a starting color, position and/or size and an ending color, position and/or size and provide you with a simple t...

Animation Framework
I've been working within the toolkit to produce some high-quality animations using Gephi and I'd like to start a discussion about how this might one day look as a user-friendly, GUI-driven option for every Gephi user. First, some examples: Networks in the Humanities (Snippets) http://www.youtube.com...
