Re: Overview-like Component?!
Hi, Currently the toolkit does not contain the overview (OpenGL) visualization module due to several difficulties for making it reusable. Also preview does not handle interactivity, just move and zoom, since its purpose is to create high resolution static graphics. But maybe some basic interactivity...

Hi Cathy,
Some APIs have changed after the toolkit tutorial was created.
The changes are often small, but I recommend you to look at the ready to run demos that come with the toolkit.

Re: Using variable edge width to visualize directionality
Hi,
Currently there is no plugin for that, but it could be done as a preview renderer plugin http://wiki.gephi.org/index.php/HowTo_w ... w_renderer

Re: Import file and create nodes and edges
Hi,
For that kind of data you can use Spreadsheet Import in data laboratory.
Import to edges table but name your Destine column Target.
More info here http://wiki.gephi.org/index.php/Import_CSV_Data

Re: Force-Directed Edge Bundling
Hi Taras, I am glad you are applying to FDEB proposal. You have previously completed several features for Gephi and have good algorithms background (I am sure you do better than me :) ) I need to get a better understanding of the barnes-hut optimization (which works really good for force atlas 2), b...

Re: Beginners guide to Gephi: Twitter
Hi, I looked at the data, and you can model relations (edges) with the "From User" and "To User" fields. But many of the tweets don't have a "To User" value, so those rows can't be an edge and will be ignored. So, the steps you need to follow are: Open the csv file with a text editor and change "Fro...

Re: ForceLayout2: platform vs. toolkit
Hi Sebastian, I can get the same results with the toolkit. Make sure you call everything necessary: ForceAtlas2 f2 = new ForceAtlas2Builder().buildLayout(); f2.setGraphModel(graphModel); f2.setScalingRatio(200.0); f2.setAdjustSizes(true); f2.initAlgo(); for (int i = 0; i < 10000 && f2.canAlgo(); i++...

Re: Enabling node label visibility from a plugin?
Well the method itself uses Lookup and inits some objects.
You probably can get it with Lookup because Gephi will have initialized it before.

Hi,
You will need to include Visualization Module as a dependency in your module.
Then use some code like this:
