effects of directed vs undirected graphs
Greetings Folks: In running a directed vs. undirected graph, what are the effects on the edges, degrees (and weighted degrees), and betweenness centrality? I know that the directed would additionally have in and out degrees measures. I am unsure how in Gephi these measures would vary by directed or ...

Edges & BC Calculation-to the kind Attn. of Clement
Greetings Clement, I have used Textexture.com online by Dmitry Paranyushkin, who is affiliated with Gephi. A sample gefx file that I generated in Textexture is attached. When I open it in Gephi, there are a few network measures including betweenness centrality. However, when I generate BC in Gephi u...

Re: Filters & questions
Clement: I use Gephi for content analysis (text network analysis). I assume that edges are determined by contiguous placement of nodes or a 2 word (node) gap pass. Questions: 1) Can Gephi be modified to include a 5 word (node) gap as well so that the 2 and 5 word (node) passes are weighted? Also, wo...

2 and 5 word gap passes for TNA
Salutations: I assume that edges are determined by contiguous placement of nodes or a 2 word gap pass. I am doing text network analysis. Questions: 1) Can Gephi be modified to include a 5 word gap as well so that the 2 and 5 word passes are weighted? Also, would these two approaches have different m...

Re: less than 100% preview saving
Greetings: I have three questions, If I may: 1) Is there available a document that explains all of the filtering tools in Gephi? 2) Please excuse the rudimentary nature of my question. What exactly is the partition count filter? 3) How might I filter specific betweenness centrality value ranges for ...

Re: less than 100% preview saving
Thank you, Sebastien. Is there a way in which I can reduce the nodes (and communities) in the preview setting to the most influential other than deleting some nodes from the data file? I am using Gephi for content analysis. Any guidance is appreciated. Thank you. Ed
