Re: Nodes size using external variable
You want to make sure when you import your data that you set the format of the field for that value to "Integer" (if it does not have decimals) or "Double" (if it does have decimals). When you import data into Gephi, it defaults the field type to "String" which will not be available for Ranking. If ...

Re: [SOLVED] Drupal relation module (mysql)
I'd be interested in doing some Drupal/Gephi integration, if you want some collaboration.

Re: Newbi question - shaping nodes by attributes
Hi Freddy, I'm not clear what you're trying to do. If you're trying to color by attribute in modules, then you can first partition by the modularity (using the partition filter) and then color by attributes within the partitioned piece of the network. Or you can partition and sub-partition, using su...

Use Original Edge Color
Is there a code example for how to set EDGE_COLOR to the original color of the edge (matching the original color option in the Interface)?

Re: Family Tree / Ancestor Chart
I've used Gephi to plot a 24,000 individual genealogy: https://dhs.stanford.edu/social-media-literacy/an-ecology-of-the-english-peoples/ I'll be doing some more serious work on this dataset in the Spring, at which point I plan to develop a couple layouts based on traditional representations of ances...

Re: Animation video of dynamic data
The only way to currently animate in Gephi is to use a script with the Gephi Toolkit or to screencast. I'm going to release the Java scripts I've used to make a few animations in a couple days, but you'll need to know a bit of Java for that (not much, trust me).

Re: ForceAtlas2 layout generates different result on toolkit
Celio, Is your ForceAtlas2 layout in toolkit just running FA2 with default parameters? I noted this in the bug report, but I've found that there are times that you have to re-initialize the layout.parameters and it may even be for each tick of the algo. You could test this with System.out.println(fo...

Re: Max network size experience
I'm dealing with this problem right now--I have a network with 4.6m nodes and 35m edges and I don't need to visualize it. However, I could probably mobilize some resources if it's actually possible to do so in Gephi. Basically, I'm wondering what are some of the go-to packages and formats for very l...

Re: TubeMap Layout
I've updated the layout so it checks labels and IDs, but I think it may have revealed a bug in one of the shortest path algos, so I'm going to wait on that getting sorted before sending it off to be officially released. I'll get to work on a tool version next.
