I am wondering whether there is an upper limit of memory that can be used by gephi. Is it true that gephi can draw arbitrarily large network as long as I have enough memory space? My OS is Win 7 64bit and I have installed the 64bit JRE.
Thanks in advance.

Animation smoother with mouse staying in "graph" window?
Hi, me again. 3 questions. 1. When I play dynamic animation, I find that the animation appears smoother when I put my mouse in the "graph" window. To be more specific, when the mouse stays in the "graph" window, the animation becomes continuous, otherwise it appears intermittent, just like a combina...

Re: How to make node colors change over time?
Hi, You can achieve something similar by using the apply continuously option in ranking (small button next to apply), and making it use a dynamic number column. Then, when you move the timeline with this option enabled, color will change according to the column value at that interval. If you wanted...

Thanks! But is it possible to play the dynamic process in PREVIEW? I would like to adapt images to nodes and show the dynamic movement at the same time. That is to say, I want the images to move. Is it possible in 0.8.1?

Adapting Node Images
Hi, I intend to adapt images to nodes and I have read the gexf primer document to do so, but I just cannot make it. The document mentions that one needs to add the following "node" in the gexf file: <viz:shape value="image" uri="#image file location#"/> I do exactly what the document tell me to do, ...

Re: How to change the shape/image for the node
Hi, I have seen that answer too, but I fail to find the "Properties..." dialog after right-clicking the graph window. Does it matter which version I am using? I am using 0.8.1-beta.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Methods to Generate gexf Files?
Hi, I'm wondering whether there exist methods to generate gexf files from data stored in other formats. For example, I would like to use R to generate a txt file containing the time of birth and death of every node, which are stored as 2 columns in the file. Then how can I transform this file into g...
