Re: Any progress with Force Atlas 2 and Dynamic Layout?
Okay, I restored my dynamic layout capability. I got it working again by doing a "clean" installation of Gephi (and, of course, pointing Gephi to Java 6). Here's what I suggest you do: 1. Delete your old Gephi.app package, which is presumably in your Applications folder. 2. Delete the residual Gephi...

Installing Gephi on Mac OS X Mavericks
I see that a lot of people on the board are having trouble launching Gephi 0.8.2 on Mac OS X, especially with the newer OS X versions like Mavericks. There are plenty of helpful suggestions on the web, but I wanted to put a couple key components together. The problems are often described as "Gephi h...

Any progress with Force Atlas 2 and Dynamic Layout?
Hi all, Has there been any progress in resolving the bug that causes Force Atlas 2 to hang with Dynamic Layouts? The problem has been mentioned here: https://forum.gephi.org/viewtopic.php?t=2424&p=8387 and here: https://github.com/gephi/gephi/issues/736 The problem was stated rather well as follows:...

Re: [Solved] Dynamic graphs and edge aggregation
Hi Vongow, Thank you for the kind note. I appreciate it very much. And, no apologies necessary for your English--it's quite good actually, and you should proud of it. In answering your question about Gephi losing duplicate edges on a CSV import, I lost track of your requirement that edges can have d...

Re: Dynamic graphs and edge aggregation
Hi Vongow, I think that the key point is that, to my understanding, the current version of Gephi does not allow for duplicate edges (defined as having the same source and target) via a CSV import. This might change at some point, or so it says elsewhere on this site. Here's a helpful link: https://f...

Re: Dynamic graphs and edge aggregation
Hi Vongow, If you're using Gephi 0.8.2, try this for your edge list: Id Source Target Duration Type 1 1 2 <[1.0, 4.99]> Directed 5 1 3 <[3.0, 4.99]> Directed 7 3 1 <[5.0, 5.99]> Directed 8 2 1 <[3.0, 4.99]> Directed 10 2 3 <[2.0, 3.99]> Directed Make sure that the "Duration" field is set to type "Ti...

Re: Dynamic graphs and edge aggregation
You might try giving each of your edges its own unique id (in a column with "Id" as the header) before importing. I suspect this will fix it.
Good luck!

Gephi Marketplace Slow
I have noticed that, for the last several days, the Gephi Marketplace has been very slow in downloading the .nbm NetBeans Module plugin files. I have not had any trouble in the past, though.
Is anyone having the same problem? Is there any way to address this?
Thanks!

Re: Unable to use timeline
Could you post your dataset (or sample of it)? I've never had trouble with the timeline unless there was an error in the dynamic data column.
