Re: Has Anyone got the RadialAxisLayout plugin to work?
Hi Alan, I think this is a by-product of how I match Attributes columns to the drop down. To prevent issues with duplicates (like a "Degree" column and the degree descriptive stat) I append "-Att" to column names when I build the drop down (see getPlacementMap()). So, I think you can get around this...

Re: Has Anyone got the RadialAxisLayout plugin to work?
Hi Alan, For completeness I would recommend calling resetPropertiesValues() and setting your properties before calling initAlgo(). Since the circular layout doesn't really require stepping thorugh an algorithm initAlgo() does all of the heavy lifting. As a test, can you let me know if using the degr...

Re: Using RadialAxisLayout in toolkit?
I have a quick question: I have a network I want to visualise using radial axis; when I group nodes according to degree I get axes but if I sort according to modularity I only get a circular layout and the axes disappear. I want my modules to be sorted as axes. Any idea how I can fix this? Thanks H...

Re: Animation Framework
Hi Elijah, I know it isn't an animation framework, but I added the ability to do transitions to the radial axis, circular and double circle layouts. You can now enable transition and set a step size in the plugin settings. It is available in 0.7 of the plugin. Sorry to crank up an old thread, Matt

Re: Using RadialAxisLayout in toolkit?
Sorry to post on a topic that is so old but I haven't been paying attention. ;) Mark, did you get this working? And is there any way I can see a peek at what you are doing? (I'm curious about the uses people find for the Radial Axis layout.) Eduardo, is there anything my plugin should be doing to ch...

Re: Request to test new version of Circular Layout plugin
Hi Elijah, I meant to follow up on your comment: I think it's going to work best if it relies on user-defined attributes for the sorting, as there seem to be too many modularity classes in most graphs. I think you are absolutely right! I used modularity classes for the two demo graphs mostly because...

Re: Request to test new version of Circular Layout plugin
Thanks, Elijah! I'm glad you find the layout interesting! I will give your idea of a false Z-axis view of the layout some thought. I think I might wait and see what changes might come in the visualization engine itself before I dig into that too far. Please let me know if you run into any problems w...

Request to test new version of Circular Layout plugin
Hi all, Can anyone who is willing give my new version of the Circular Layout plugin a test? I've added some features to it that I would really like wider testing (and feedback) on before I release it. New features which need testing are: Sorting by any arbitrary node attribute. New "Radial Axis" lay...
