I am trying to visualise a dataset where I am counting the number of attributes that users have in common and using this sum as the edge weight .
Are there algorithms that will take edge weight into account for layouts and effectively 'pull' those with high edge weights closer together?

Loading of gexf 'spells' graph
Hi There, I am trying to load a gexf formatted graph using the toolkit, and have come across the following error: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Given type 'DynamicString' is not static. at org.gephi.data.attributes.type.TypeConvertor.getDynamicType(TypeConvertor.java...

Re: Importing .gexf file issues
Hi, Thanks for the response....I created the gexf file using network x, and I guess there were some bugs in the code. Working on contributing a fix. It seems for gephi to understand, the start= and end= must be within the following position <edge ... start=XX end=YY ></edge> (and not stored as an ed...

[SOLVED] Importing .gexf file issues
Hi, I am trying to import a simple dynamic graph, and am having some difficulty understanding why the edge dynamics (i.e. start time and end time) are not loading correctly in gephi. Am I doing something incorrectly? Thanks, ieeamo ______ graph defaultedgetype="undirected" mode="static"> <attributes...

Re: Filter based on sub-network size
Thanks - this worked really well. I've managed to reduce the size of the visual network significantly. Next, I want to try filter to include only connected components that have within the component a node with attribute x (in this case the existence of a fraudulent actor). I've tried partition - but...

Filter based on sub-network size
I have a network with a large number of nodes, but the network density is quite small (<1%). This means that many nodes are part of a sub-network with 2/3 nodes. What I would like to do is filter out those sub-networks, and keep only the sub-networks with > 3 nodes. I am working on a subset of claim...
