What I have been able to determine is that it is not compatible with the graphics driver. I am going to try and load an older driver.

Any else running Win 10 with a i5 processor and a Intel(r) HD graphics 520 having crash at launch issues -

I did everything that I could find recommended - replaced the Java JDK and swapped the line in the conf file -

Reloaded my Intel 520 file using the zip file from Intel and not the exe file

I get the same error code in the note file that indicates the problem is with my graphics card - but nothing I can do solves this.

At this point I am assuming that this graphics card is not compatible with Gephi - Any suggestions? I would love to get this functioning. I have several big projects I would love to use it with.

I am having trouble starting Gephi 0.9.2 on Windows XP with Java 7. I originally had the Error: Cannot find Java 1.8 message so I modify gephi.conf to point to jre7 but it still does not work. According to the main site, Gephi should work with java 7 which XP offically supports.
Does Gephi 0.9.2 work on Windows XP with Java 7?
If yes, any idea what is wrong?
If no, what is the last Gephi that works on Windows XP with Java 7?

According to Wikifix this code is partially due to an improperly installed operating system - which would support the former note from the event tab...but how do I fix it?

SO I have checked for Intel(R) HD graphics 520 updates and it appears to be updated but I get a note that says the driver may be modified by the manufacturer so contact them for updates. Of course that would mean I can find it in the mess of Micrsoft support -

I uninstalled and reinstalled it but that hasn't helped. I tried to find if I could upgrade that driver but can't find anything that leads me to believe I can.

This is probably a graphics card drivers problem. Please make sure they are up to date.

I just installed Gephi 0.9.2 into Program Files (x86). When I open the program, the Welcome box pops-up, and in the background I can see the "Graph" window say "Initializing.." and then it closes. Screen shot is attached.

System Info:

OS: Windows 7 64bit

Ram: 16 gig

Display Adapter 1: Intel (HD) Graphics Family

Display Adapter 2: AMD Raedon (TM) HD 8500M/8700M

Java 10 SDK installed

Java 8 JRE installed

Steps Taken Thus Far to Remedy:

Cleared User/Appdata/Roaming/.gephi/ to ensure only "0.9.2" is in there

Updated .conf file to use memory setting of -Xmx1400m and then tried -Xmx5000m

In 'Device Manager', ensured that both display adapters have most recent driver software

Any ideas on what else I need to try?

Hi,

I actually just connected Gephi with Neo4j following https://tbgraph.wordpress.com/2017/04/01/neo4j-to-gephi. However, it seems that the newly added data points from Neo4j to Gephi is "static". I won't join the layout that I created earlier with previous data points. Also the statistics visualization such as the Node size by Page Rank does not pick up on the newly added data points. Instead, I had to run the statistics again in order to apply the visualization on the new data points.

Is there any way to apply the same visualization design on the newly added data?

I found the Master Server...but I'm using a VNC viewer, right click is not enabled. I was not able to find a menu item to start the server? Any idea?

Where is the start server button? I couldn't find it in the Available Plugins wizard?

Yes, I was following that blog for installing the plugin...

My Gephi is in English...no worries.

Did you click on the start server button? Also make sure your 8080 port is free for Gephi to use.

Some usage example: https://tbgraph.wordpress.com/2017/04/01/neo4j-to-gephi

Also check if your Gephi is in english, otherwise the "workspace" is translated (a bug).

Hi All,

I'm trying to get Graph Streaming plugin working. After installing it from Gephi UI and restart it, I was not able to find the service listening on port 8080
netstat -an|grep 8080

curl: (7) Failed to connect to localhost port 8080: Connection refused

It seems that the Graph Streaming plugin was not started. Any idea how to trouble shoot this issue? Is there any logs in Gephi that I can check?

I had the same problem no matter what I tried, but Gephi is now loading and working properly. I solved the problem by downloading Java SE Runtime 8 and restarting my browser and Gephi.

Hello,

i have windows 10 and java the last version installed , when i want open Gephi , i have an error message : "Unable to find java 1.8 or higher" .
I don't understand because i verif and i have the last version of JAVA, so it's a know problem ?
