I have a gexf file that I haven't created and I would like to change its format, eg data type, add color,merge attributes. I don't want to do it manually from the Data Laboratory but preferably in python. Can you give me a hint on how I could approach it?

Dear all,

I am trying to visualize a digital collection that keeps updating over time.I have created a graph of the initial 125 nodes in Gephi, now want to add the remaining

data / nodes into my gexf file on click of a button through javascript, is it possible? can anybody suggest a better way or already exisitng API for this?

Hi!
I'm new to using gexf, so please be patient = )
I have a gexf file that I've been working with, and I tried to get some other data into the same format. So I wrote a script that basically creates a .txt file that looks exactly like the other .gexf file (except that the nodes and edges are different. but the structure and everything is the same). Now how do I convert that to a .gexf file? Just saving it as .gexf didn't work, and I didn't figure out how to use Gephi for that (if it's possible at all).
I also googled and tried a few things, but I haven't found anything to help me. What I basically need to know is how to create a .gexf file that I want to write from scratch (not extract from any data or anything)

The Gephi Toolkit does that?

Hello!
I would like to read a graph from a GEXF file in java.

Is there any java library that can read a graph from GEXF files?
I found gexf4j very useful for writing a graph to GEXF, but it does not seem to be providing the feature to read GEXF file.

I'd really appreciate if anyone could help.

to export: menu File > Export > Graph file > GEXF
to import: simply use File > Open.

Yes you were right. Leaving Auto-Scale option out at import leads to the result I wanted.

Hi,
I assume the problem happens because during the import phase, you are leaving the Auto-scale option checked, which doesn't keep original provided sizes.
Maybe we should make this un-checked by default.

Hello. I'm having trouble with the node size.

I have the following graph:

But the problem is, that the last node does not have size = 10.0.

Is there any error in the format?

In the example you give a pair of numbers is missing at the end?

=> 2012-06-06T00:00 should be 2012-06-06T00:00:00 I think
